The Offline Forms Addon for WPForms allows your forms to continue collecting submissions even when users lose their internet connection. Instead of failing or losing entered data, the addon securely stores form submissions in the user’s browser and automatically sends them to your website once the internet connection is restored.

Requirements #

Before using the Offline Forms Addon, make sure you have:

• WordPress installed

Step 1: Enable the Offline Forms Addon #

1. Go to WPForms → Ultra Addons.
2. Locate Offline Forms Addon.
3. Enable the addon.

After enabling it, offline functionality becomes available inside your forms.

Step 2: Create or Edit a Form #

1. Navigate to WPForms → Add New.
2. Create a new form or edit an existing one.
3. Add your desired form fields.

The Offline Forms Addon works with most standard WPForms field types.

Step 3: Enable Offline Form Support #

While editing your form:

1. Navigate to Settings → Offline Forms.
2. Enable Offline Form Submission.

Once enabled, the form will continue working even if the visitor loses internet connectivity.

Offline Form Settings #

Enable Offline Submission #

Enable this option to allow visitors to complete and submit forms while offline.

When enabled:

• Form submissions are stored locally.

Offline Notification Message #

Customize the message displayed when a visitor submits a form while offline.

Example:

You’re currently offline. Your submission has been saved and will be sent automatically once your internet connection is restored.

Automatic Synchronization #

When the user’s internet connection returns:

• Stored submissions are detected automatically.
• Data is submitted in the background.

Submission Storage #

Offline submissions are temporarily stored inside the visitor’s browser using secure local storage.

Once synchronization is successful:

• The stored data is automatically removed.
